+ WHAT IS TEMPLE/CHAN/? +

Temple/chan/ is a divine imageboard built in tribute to Terry A. Davis and his masterwork, TempleOS. It combines the classic imageboard format with the aesthetic and spirit of TempleOS - God's third temple, a 640x480 16-color operating system written by one man over the course of a decade.

This project exists to honor Terry's legacy and provide a space for those who appreciate his unique vision of computing - where simplicity is divine and complexity is the devil's work.

+ PHILOSOPHY +

Terry believed that modern software had become bloated and overcomplicated. TempleOS was his answer - an operating system that fit the divine specification: 640x480 resolution, 16 colors, no networking, no complexity beyond what God required.

Temple/chan/ carries this spirit forward. While we operate on the modern web, we strive to keep things simple, focused, and true to the TempleOS aesthetic. Every feature serves a purpose. Every pixel is intentional.
